Oberle is the result of crossing Moon Unit Sapa with Snowmass Divine Love. He is classified as a pattern, due to large MF patches on both hips, and back. Color aside, Obes displays a fine, uniform, bright fleece with very nice density, along with a long staple. At 11 1/2 months old (only 10 1/2 months of regrowth), he sheared an eye opening 5.4 lbs. But what is most impressive about his fleece, is that all colors are virtually the same. He is very uniform across the various colors withi ...

Willowwind’ Pied Marquis

Huacaya Herdsire (Male) Beige, Dark Fawn

AOA# 36142354 DOB: 7/20/20215 yrs

Talk about perfectly spotted! Marquis is a solidly built 3rd generation Appaloosa, displaying exceptional fleece characteristics, just like his sire, WWLH Lakota. And…so far, Lakota seems to be as close to homozygous as it gets! Marquis’ dam is nothing to scoff at either. Spellbound is a two-time judges choice fleece winner, passing on these qualities to her offspring. She is also the dam to the one and only SpringToo Skyfall! Marquis has a perfectly distributed array of spots to shar ...

She's here and she is spectacular!!!!
A chip off the old block (only better!) she is the result of a repeat breeding to Sopris Oberle an outstanding male 2020 National Champion Multi who's crias are just now making the show ring. We are blessed to have her full sister ZB Farms Amelia's Vega by Sopris on our farm a young yearling APPALOOSA female who is just getting started on her show career. Oberle brings strong bone, correct typey heads, staple length, density and conformation to boot.
Of coarse Amelia is no slouch herself having delivered both blue ribbon and banner winning cria for her owners before us and now her first Cria for us Vega has taken home a Blue in her second show. . And at 11 years old Amelia continues to impress as her fiber fineness is still making beautiful bright yarn.
Look out. We feel this girl can bring us to another level as far as our breeding program goes.

Update: Lindy was sent to Montana with the fine folks at Mule Train Alpacas to be bred to their gorgeous Herd Sire Willowwind’ Pied Marquis for a Fall 2025 cria. Marquis is a fabulous appaloosa macho who we have loved since we first laid eyes on him two years ago. Excited to see what this breeding brings to our program........UPDATE!!!!!! Lindy X Marquise brought to us a Beautifull baby Boy, Blindingly bright white with pink shin and SPOTS!!! Watch for Auggie in months to come. Check Angi and Udo out at Mule Train they are making some really smart moves and furthering the appy/harlequin breeding scene along with their other fabulous animals.
